Why Renaissance is the Right Choice for your Home Renovation
In challenging economic times it can be tempting to zero in on the bottom line and save a few dollars. At Renaissance Windows and Doors, we understand that a home renovation is a major investment, and that saving money is important. But we also understand that quality involves money savings not just at the cash register, but through the entire process of home renovation—from the first moment of customer service you receive when you walk through the door, to the installation of windows and doors, to their energy efficiency and performance for years to come. When we work with new clients they sometimes ask us what sets us apart from our big box-store competitors, and why they should choose us over a big box store that sells products and our answer is—so many reasons!
Customer Service
Simply put, we care. We don’t want to just sell you some windows and doors and send you out the door, we want to know about your home and your family, we want to understand your lifestyle so that we can offer you the perfect replacement windows and doors to suit your needs. We want you to be completely satisfied with your experience, and we want you to become a return customer for future projects. We want you to refer us to your friends, and we want them to thank you for your referral!
We offer free in-home consultations and cost estimates, and we never use high-pressure sales tactics. We have served homes and families in the Houston area for over fifteen years, and our greatest reward is a satisfied customer. We hold an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and we work every day to maintain that top rating status.
Quality Products
When you shop at a big box store you are choosing from a lower-quality selection of windows, even from the “big name” brands. At Renaissance Windows and Doors we carry the highest-quality windows from the top brands, like Infinity by Marvin and Hurd. Why choose from the best of the average, when you can choose from the best of the best?
We offer our clients a wide range of options in window styles, materials, glass options, color choices and hardware. Whether you need a wood window for a historic home, or a low-maintenance, high-performance fiberglass window, we have the right window for your home: gliders, casement, double-hung, picture windows, or awning style, as well as exterior and patio doors.
Installation Advantage
This is where “the rubber meets the road” so to speak. Choosing a great window is one thing, but an improperly installed “great window” is not going to improve your home, or your utility bill. Our installers are employees—we never, ever use contract labor. What difference does that make? Our installers are fully vetted, and a background check on our end means peace of mind on your end. Installer employees are fully trained, certified, and insured with workman’s compensation and liability coverage. Our installers are also familiar with our products, and they can carry out the manufacturer’s installation guidelines to ensure that you are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
In terms of certification, all of our installers are AAMA certified master installers, and Renovator certified for handling lead paint. Federal law requires EPA lead certification for window installers, which ensures lead-safe practices are followed in your home during installation. AAMA certification is conferred by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association and, as mentioned above, all of our master installers have this certification. This means installers have taken certification classes that teach the best practices for window installation, and that they understand the industry's “best practices” for window and door installation.
We also demonstrate our installation advantage in terms of installation materials such as caulking, screws, shims, trim, sill covers, and more. We use 50 year caulk instead of 30 year; we use Climatek coated GRK screws rather than “dry wall” screws, in order to prevent rust; we prefer high-impact Polystyrene shims over cedar, to prevent splits or cracks.
