  • Meet Our Newest Team Member: Andre Lee
  • We want to take the opportunity to introduce our clients to the newest member of the Renaissance Windows & Doors team, sales representative Andre Lee. Andre joined us in March, and sat down to tell us a little bit about himself, and what brought him to the industry.

Andre grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina but has lived in Houston for the last 35 years, and attended Reagan High School in The Heights. He comes from a military background—his father served in the U.S. Army—and Andre himself completed four years of ROTC in high school. After high school Andre earned an Associate’s Degree in interior design, which enhances his interactions with customers. “I have an eye for what they’re looking for, and an ear to listen and help assess what the customer wants and needs,” said Andre. “Sometimes customers are just overwhelmed, and I can help assess their needs to help them achieve a look that they can’t articulate or bring together on their own.”

After working in the building and construction end of the industry for the last 21 years, Andre moved from flooring and then into windows and doors; as the economy shifted, Andre explained, the demand was in remodeling so he followed the demand. “My favorite thing about this job is going out and meeting new people, assessing their needs, and then giving them what they are looking for,” said Andre. When asked about the differences between working in new construction versus the remodeling arena, Andre explained: “In remodeling people have more of a vested interest in maintaining a certain look of a home, so they are particular about the type of windows; in new construction there is less concern about that.”

Of course, Andre isn’t all work and no play! He cites golf as a favorite pastime, “If I can ever get around to it!” Andre is also involved in youth mentoring in his spare time.Andre has a piece of advice for customers who are shopping for new windows and doors. “Do your homework,” Andre advised. “Research—look at different companies and their products to learn more and make an informed decision.”

We invite you to come down to Renaissance Windows and Doors and meet Andre, and the rest of our professional, helpful staff. We are all ready to help you choose the right replacement windows and doors for your home!
